Hi! I am Phil Baxter, the veterinarian here at Animal Health Care. I am a 1978 graduate of the Auburn University School of Veterinary Medicine. I have been at Animal Health Care since February 1988. My wife is Jerre Baxter and we have 3 children. They are Thomas, Cade and Lennon. We have three dogs, Milo, Layla and Daisey, plus one cat, Zappa. We are involved in school and church activities. I enjoy spending any “spare” time running, camping and being outside.
My life calling has been helping people with their pets. Each day brings a different challenge with no two days alike. Caring for pets and livestock for 30 years I have recognized the fraility of life (human and pet). I have ushered many puppies, kittens, calves and horses into this world. I have watched them grow, provided their preventive medicine, and nursed them in sickness. Through the years I have also watched many of these same pets age and die. I hope I have been able to improve the quality and longevity of life for them. I have strived to follow the Veterinary Oath.
I would enjoy meeting you and your pets. I hope you will consider allowing me to care for their health and medical needs. Please feel free to call the clinic to ask questions, to use the information on this website or to email me at Vet@AnimalHealthCareVet.com.
I am here to care for you and your pet’s needs. Phil
